Subject: Good show

But the 1st half of the 2nd set doesn't really catch fire, I wouldn't say it is tepid but they sound a little tired. the night before is a better played show.

i like longer, well drawn-out LLR>Deal first set closers and this is excellent. Super high-energy Fire on the Mountain and Throwin' Stones... and as mentioned, a lovely Baby Blue encore in this era. Quality of this aud allows you to suck up some of the Red Rocks magic happening on stage and w/ crowd. solid...

I just love Baby Blue encores from this era. While some songs suffered from seemingly chemically induced accelerated tempos, they always seemed to slow down and play this one right. And then Bobby would say "good night," and we'd all go home.

Subject: Better than soundboard

The 80s soundboards never seem to capture Phil's bass well enough for my tastes. This FOB really does the trick, makes me feel like I am right back there at Red Rocks all those years ago while I attended CU. Pretty good show for the era.

Good early 80s set list, competent playing, and as usual, Charlie Miller provides the best recording of it yet.

Subject: summer of 83

My oh my this was the year to be on tour. Between this late summer tour and the fall to follow to me every show had its gem. I love the china rider at the rocks. Am lucky enough to catch every show except the 78 and 79 shows here. That in it self is a treat.
